03 Mar Clarity’s Flower of Life
The Flower of Life
You’ve seen it all around the centre – in our signage, our branding, our logo – in artwork and jewellery. But, did you know that the Flower of Life is more than just a pretty design? It is a sacred geometric symbol, with a philosophy which underpins Clarity and why it was started back in 2013…
The ‘Flower of Life’ is a symbol that has been used since ancient times, it’s been found in Ancient Egypt in the Temple of Osiris and in the sketchbooks of Leonardo Da Vinci. Many geometric forms can be found within it, and for this reason, it is well known to architects, artists and philosophers the world over. It is coined as being a ‘sacred geometric’ shape as it is believed to depict the fundamental forms of space and time (woah!).
Old mate Leo D-V spent yonks studying the Flower of Life and its mathematical properties. He drew it and it’s various components such as the Seed of Life (which you’ll learn about in a moment), along with LOADS of other now-important geometric figures; and all of these forms can be derived from the Flower of Life.
The most common form of the ‘Flower of Life’ – and the one which we have displayed around Clarity – is a hexagonal pattern.
In the very centre of this there are 7 interlaced circles – and this pattern is known as the ‘Seed of Life’. If you draw the Flower of Life, you have to start with this….which is not dissimilar to how life begins for humans, too, with the first fertilized ovocyte! This cell then splits and the process continues on until we have the first seven circles (ergo: the seed of life) which you can see pictured:
So, you can see that the Flower of Life is a beautiful symbol for life and the interconnectedness of all things. It has balanced form, proportion and harmony.
….which is precisely what we at Clarity are trying to create in your health, mind & body!
Ta-da! See what we did there……?!
At Clarity, we believe that wellbeing is affected and informed by an interconnected web of our biology, psychology, social surroundings and our spirituality (or personal philosophy).
In health care, this concept is referred to as the ‘biopsychosocial model’ of care, and one cannot have complete health unless all of these elements are in harmony.
Through our many services, hands-on care, classes, nutrition, products, community, events and health products, the hope is that Clarity Wellness offers a truly holistic haven, wherein you can create harmony in all aspects of your life and wellbeing…..with a bit-o-fun thrown in, for good measure!

So, as you can see, The Flower of Life is a perfect symbol which represents true wellness and beautifully encapsulates the Clarity experience.
I hope you look upon it just a little differently the next time you’re with us 🙂
